Wet Bar: Remix Hotel and Beatport serve up poolside beats

In Miami, some of the best artists aren't found in dark clubs — they're chilling poolside in broad daylight. This year is no exception, as Remix Hotel and Beatport, the premier retailer for dance-music downloads, pair up to bring you the Beatport Poolside Sessions Thursday through Sunday, March 22 - 25, at the National Hotel.

Each day features eight hours of the best names in dance music playing one-hour sets alongside the art-deco hotel's stunning, 205-foot-long pool. Thursday dives into a deep-house roster of Jay J, Audiofly, Todd Terry, the Scumfrog, and Kaskade, while Friday locks down Europe's choicest minimal techno and electro house from Tiefschwarz, Steve Bug, and the M_NUS crew: Richie Hawtin, Marc Houle, Magda, Troy Pierce, and Gaiser. Saturday finds big-room rockers Bad Boy Bill, Fedde Le Grand, Dubfire, and Ralph Falcon adapting their sets to the unusually placid setting, with Monza resident Heidi importing the island vibe all the way from Ibiza. And anything goes from Sunday's motley crew of Ralphie Dee, Tommie Sunshine, DJ Spooky, James Zabiela, and Gabriel & Dresden; rave maestro Radio Slave closes it out in a finish that should have all and sundry gasping for air.
