CHI #140: Cover Design Credit

Featured in this week's Flavorpill, Jennifer Presant draws viewers into richly painted, dramatically illuminated, and dreamlike interiors. The scale of her scenes and the staging of her figures simulate the cinematic experience, as each space becomes a physical expression of the character's mood and disposition. A New York native, Presant graduated with a Masters in painting from New York Academy of Art in 2002. She was awarded the O. Aldon James, Jr. Award by the National Arts Club, worked as an artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center for three years, and currently exhibits work in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
