This week's cover image comes from City Paradise (2004), an animated short film directed by Gaëlle Denis and produced by Passion-Pictures.

City Paradise is one of the ten pieces included in The Animation Show 3, a feature-length compilation of the best and most cutting-edge animated short films from around the world. Created and personally programmed by Mike Judge (Beavis & Butt-Head, King of the Hill, and Office Space) and acclaimed animator Don Hertzfeldt, the film is being released by MTV Networks with special event screenings running from January through March.

The Animation Show 3 screens in Chicago on Fri 2.9 & Sat 2.10 at the Music Box Theatre (schedule).
