The Neo-Naturists have been an open network of collaborative projects by multimedia artists and performers since 1979. Founded by Christine Binnie, Jennifer Binnie and Wilma Johnson, Neo-Naturists have also included Grayson Perry, Cerith Wyn Evans and Helen Terry over the past decades. Though most active during the Thatcher years, the collective have continuously focussed on body-politics and idealised representations of the human form in their unique and provocative work.
Neo-Naturists' work currently appears in the exhibition The Secret Public: The Last Days of the British Underground 1978-1988, featured in this week's Flavorpill LDN, at the ICA from Fri 23 Mar - Sun 6 May (Mon-Wed: 12-7:30pm / Thur: 12-9pm / Fri-Sun: 12-7:30pm / The Mall, SW1, 020.7930.3647 / Tube: Charing Cross, Piccadilly Circus).
