MIGUEL ARIAS
While growing up in his native Puerto Rico, Miguel Arias was inspired by the local flora and fauna as juxtaposed with the hand-written and classically printed typography lining the streets — eventually spitting them out onto paper. Currently based in San Francisco, Arias likes to work wiggles, dirt and sometimes furious doodles into his drawings. His work has been called Miró-esque on occasion.
Arias has collaborated with Ed Fella and is currently interning with the wonderful people at Futurefarmers. He is also pursuing a BA in Graphic Design through Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia.
Arias harbours a fierce love for rice, beans and tostones with salt.
