Nuri Bilge Ceylan is a Turkish director, screenwriter and photographer. Though initially an engineering student, Ceylan discovered his visual eye after enrolling in the filmmaking program at Mimar Sinan University. A recipient of the Grand Jury Prize at Cannes, Ceylan is best known for his acute observations and visual candour.
