Bristol-born and Manchester-based Andrew Bracey takes inspiration from the classical to the comical — be it contemporary arists such as Bernard Frize and Tom Freidman or unexpected objects like pistachio shells and plastic toys. Bracey creates art out of surprising discoveries and quirky objects. Mixing materials with enough colour to rival the lights of Vegas, Bracey explores the boundaries of painting and sculpture with both humour and candour.
Freianlage, the fifth instalment in Transition Gallery's Supernature project and Bracey's latest show, is on view from Sat 6 - Sat 28 Jan (Fri-Sun: 12-6pm / Regent Studios, 8 Andrews Road, E8, 020.7254.0045 / Tube: Bethnal Green).
