A former weight-lifting prodigy, Travis Millard found refuge in drawing after splitting his neck in a nasty competitive-flexing accident as a child. Since then, his work has been exhibited in the US and internationally, and has been published in numerous books and magazines. Recent books by Millard include Hitten Switches — a collaborative work with Michael Sieben — and, more recently, Hey Fudge, a 240-page solo release by Narrow Books. He is also the driving force behind Fudge Factory Comics, an art operation headquartered in Los Angeles. His drawings are represented by the Richard Heller Gallery.
As described in the current issue of Flavorpill LA, Millard's work will be celebrated this week at the Jeff Electric Gallery.
