CASEY O'CONNELL
Casey O'Connell's internal struggles can be seen throughout her work: strained expressions are woven into the bodies she paints, implying emotions too strong to be felt without being lived. Lines dance through multiple colors, and remind us that they don't stop simply because we can't see them. O'Connell breathes deeply from the world and exhales with beauty, grace, and frailty.
O'Connell is currently an artist in residence at START SOMA, and has her first solo show at the Hotel des Arts beginning January 14th.
