MATEI APOSTOLESCU
Matei Apostolescu is a 22-year-old graphic designer and illustrator living in the suburbs of Bucharest, Romania.
With a classical music (he plays French horn) and graffiti background, he started design two years ago, and has completed various projects involving illustration, web design, and motion animation. This year he won third place in the Kasei & Monson Snowboard "Design Your Ride" competition, and established his own design studio, Birdtalk, in Bucharest.
His work is influenced by the visual reality of Europe's brink, shaped by various design styles. He also finds great inspiration in literature, and the visual universe of his own childhood in the post-Communist epoch.
