MOIRA HAHN

Moira Hahn, a Maryland native, moved west at age 19 to attend California College of Arts and Crafts (now California College of the Arts) in Oakland, CA. After doing graduate work in animation at Valencia's CalArts, she jetted off to Japan and Hawaii to study Japanese, where her fascination with Asian art also took wing. Hahn has looked east for inspiration ever since, being particularly fascinated by Persian miniatures, Tibetan Thanka paintings, Japanese Ukiyo-e prints, Indian animal drawings, and Chinese guardian figures.

Hahn shows at LA's Koplin Del Rio Gallery and Seattle's Roq La Rue. This year, she plans to exhibit at Toronto's Magic Pony Gallery, Pasadena, California's Pacific Asia Museum, and more venues TBA.
