People don't have replicas of Carlos D. tattooed on their body for nothing — the Interpol member-cum-DJ knows how to rock a dance floor. The downtown set turned out in full force for the March edition of First Fridays, packing the rotunda and looking chic as they danced to D.'s signature brand of dark-wave. But first: members of Louisville band VHS OR BETA primed the masses with post-punk and new-wave gems.
