The F-List
Design ResourcesWith the number of sites you can surf growing exponentially by the day, how does an Internet-lovin' aesthete or graphic-design dork uncover those worth admiring? In this section, we offer up a handful of web destinations that we regularly visit to get the down-low on up-and-comers in the realms of inventive interactive design and straight-up eye candy. Prepare to click through to grace. -Jocelyn K. Glei
Designiskinky.com
If HTML gets you hot, Design is Kinky is for you. Started by Australian web designer Andrew Johnstone, DiK (go ahead, snicker) is a go-to site for designers to share portfolios, swap theory, and announce events. But the juiciest bits are the Profiles, over 50 interviews with international designers, and Mugshots, 3,000+ photos of the faces behind the fonts. -Annette FerraraMocoloco.com
The design-savvy have bookmarked Harry Wakefield's MoCo LoCo site since it launched in late 2003, and still check it religiously. The Quebec-based Wakefield and his international ring of design enthusiasts have an insatiable appetite for all things modern and contemporary as well as that oh-so-important asset: discriminating taste. -Annette Ferrara
Moluv.com
Moluv is a web designer's website that is (gasp) also well written. Devoted codeheads can dive into Maurice Wright's practical tips on ASCII character codes or actionscript techniques, but even the newly converted techie can appreciate Wright's literate and engaging essays on such topics as "Web Design in American Football Terms." -Annette FerraraNewstoday.com
Calling themselves the Quorporation, designers Folkert Gorter (Amsterdam) and Jason Kristofer (Los Angeles) are the Oz-like administrators behind the officious-looking and authoritarian-sounding Newstoday site, which acts as a populist message board and minute-by-minute filter of the hottest design work available on the net. -Annette Ferrara
